Basic Policy on the Use of AI

Pro-Innovation Legal ("we") has adopted the following basic policy on the use of AI.

1Our approach

We treat AI as a supporting tool that helps us deliver our services more promptly and accurately. Every final judgement and all advice come from the lawyer responsible for your matter.

2Scope of use

We use AI for supporting tasks such as gathering materials, summarising, drafting documents, and organising correspondence and materials. Its output is used only as reference material, after a lawyer has examined it.

3Confidentiality and data protection

The lawyer responsible for your matter handles your information under the duty of confidentiality imposed by the Attorney Act of Japan and the Basic Rules on the Duties of Practicing Attorneys, and we comply with applicable data protection law. We use AI only under commercial terms that do not allow the information we enter to be used for training.

4Opting out

If you would prefer that we not use AI on your matter, please tell us and we will not use it on that matter.

5Review

We review this policy in light of the law, guidance from the bar and developments in technology, and publish the latest version whenever we revise it.

Pro-Innovation Consulting Pte. Ltd. also uses AI in accordance with this policy.
